- Served 23,069 meals in our kitchen.
- Harvested 2,160 lbs. of food from our garden.
- Educated 397 students in A-level English.
- Helped 714 Children and Parents.
- Completed vocational training courses/workshops with 375 participants.
- Provided 602 health referrals.
- Engaged 352 volunteers who contributed 9,680 hours of their time to El Sol.
Our Accolades
- Nonprofit’s First Accreditation for Excellence in Nonprofit Management at the “Excellence” Level since 2016.
- 2022 Heroes in Medicine Award, Community Hero Category – Palm Beach County Medical Society.
- 2022 Excellence in Education Award – Florida Literacy Foundation resulting in a $2,500 gift to the organization.
- 2022 Town of Palm Beach United Way’s Nettie Finkle Award was given to our very special volunteer, Kathleen Waddell. This award recognizes an individual who exemplifies volunteerism and whose commitment to bringing hope, promise, and opportunity into the lives of others has left an enduring, positive impact on a person, group, or community at large. This award resulted in a gift of $2,000 to El Sol.
- 2021 Florida Blue Foundation Sapphire Awards Finalist – Recognizing Excellence and Innovation Addressing Health Equity. The Florida Blue Foundation named El Sol as an honoree in health equity with a 2021 Organizational Finalist Award. This resulted in a $50,000 gift to the organization.
- 2020 Nonprofits First Hats Off Non-Profit of the Year, Medium-sized Organization Category.
- 2015 The North Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce awards El Sol the Non-Profit of the Year Award.
- 2015 The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce names El Sol as the Outstanding Non-Profit of the Year.
- 2013 Former Executive Director Jocelyn Skolnik recognized as a “Champion of Change” by President Barack Obama in White House ceremony.
- 2012 Palm Beach State College recognizes El Sol with the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Award.
