On April 19, 2022, volunteers, staff and clients – 60 in total – came together at the Jupiter Civic Center for El Sol’s 2022 Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.
The 2021 Mike Phillips Volunteer of the Year award was given to Francis (Frank) Wysocki. Frank began volunteering at El Sol in September 2016. He has since spent 1,592.80 hours (405 days) helping our community BLOOM by volunteering almost exclusively in El Sol’s Sunshine Organic Community Garden.

Others not present who were also honored include Community Life Volunteer of the Year Michele Shorts, Labor Program Volunteer of the Year Diana Ruiz, Case Management Volunteer of the Year Hannalore Orjuela Acosta, Youth Development Program Volunteer of the Year Barbara Smith, Health Program Volunteer of the Year Carmen Hernandez, and Behind the Scenes Volunteer of the Year Susan McGirt.
Volunteers are the lifeline of El Sol and we greatly appreciate them all! We cannot survive without their help, commitment, and loyalty. We are so very grateful to Frenchmans Creek Charities Foundation and Walter and Adi Blum Foundation for supporting our Volunteer Program – People Helping People.
