On February 20th El Sol’s Volunteer Recognition Ceremony was held at the Jupiter Civic Center and was attended by almost a hundred volunteers and guests. Everyone enjoyed an amazing array of delicious Italian dishes and pastries prepared by El Sol’s Food and Nutrition Coordinator and El Sol’s Kitchen Training Program students. Awards were presented by the program coordinators recognizing outstanding volunteers in each area.
The 2019 Volunteer of the Year award was given to Gabriel Mondragon. Gabriel began as a client of El Sol in 2014 and now is a dedicated volunteer in our evening ESL, Plazas, GED and Computer programs. Gabriel is an excellent representative of a true volunteer who is striving to give back to our community.
Volunteers are the lifeline of El Sol and we greatly appreciate them all! We cannot survive without their help, commitment, and loyalty. We are so very grateful to Frenchmans Creek Charities Foundation and Walter and Adi Blum Foundation for supporting our Volunteer Program – People Helping People.
