When Sabino Chamorro learned about a proposed hurricane shutter training class he was among the first to sign up. His commitment to learn new job skills contributed to his selection as El Sol featured worker for June-July. A native of Guatemala, Chamorro, 43, speaks his native Quiche language and Spanish. His work experience includes moving and landscaping jobs and a
variety of general labor jobs. Thanks to his participation in the hurricane shutter training he has a new skill that is certain to be in demand during the current hurricane season which is predicted to be above normal. El Sol Labor Coordinator Wilberto Luna said Chamorro is a good worker and a person whom others can emulate in learning new vocational skills. Congratulations to Sabino Chamorro for his well-deserved honor as El Sol Featured Worker for June-July. The recognition earned Chamorro priority for
hiring for three days.
