El Sol’s workers are committed to giving back to their community by volunteering in a number of different community service projects. Workers contribute volunteer work, giving up the chance for a paying job that day to help others in need in our community.
- Through partnerships with the Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches organization and the Solid Waste Authority, El Sol workers helped to improve the Thelma B. Pittman Jupiter Pre-School and several homes of needy and disabled residents.
- El Sol workers participated in the Paint Your Heart Out community service project. With donated paint, they painted and landscaped the home of an elderly woman in Jupiter who was unable to have this done otherwise.
- As a project of Keep America Beautiful, El Sol workers took part in the spring Great American Cleanup with the Solid Waste Authority and Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful acting as local sponsors. El Sol workers collected and removed a total of 125 bags of litter from the streets and public areas in the Pine Gardens South neighborhood.
- El Sol workers continue to log hundreds of volunteer hours on Habitat for Humanity homes, as part of a unique partnership that is working to get homes built in Guatemala. Learn more about the Habitat for Humanity partnership here.
